BIP450 is quite interesting; it turns meaningless mnemonic words into memorable thematic stories (with subject-verb-object and adjective structures in sentences).
But this is not a brain wallet; rather, it is the opposite. A brain wallet involves creating a meaningful sentence by mapping it to entropy using the BIP39 word list. This is certainly very insecure.
BIP450 instead segments the entropy (such as that generated by rolling dice) into different sentences. What’s more fun is that thematic files can be used to ensure the sentences adhere to natural grammar.
I still don’t know why the author chose the name “Formosa” (Taiwan). But given such an interesting design, the name choice must be clever as well.
