On the contrary, content that has clear sources, defined structures, stable entity relationships, and verifiable facts will be better understood and utilized by AI systems.

The real question is: when users no longer click on ten blue links but obtain answers within AI results, can content creators still capture value? Google's answer today still leans towards the platform side: content must continue to serve the search quality system. But what content truly cares about is how much visible traffic, brand exposure, and commercial conversion AI summaries can bring.

Agentic Commerce May Be a New Package for Advertising Business and New Competition for Shopping Entry

Google Marketing Live 2026 incorporates agentic commerce into the product innovation agenda; this term deserves serious attention. It is not just "AI helps you shop," but AI making more decisions between user needs, product discovery, budgets, offers, orders, and repetitions.

This has two layers of significance for Google's advertising business. Firstly, advertisers may not only purchase keywords and display placements in the future but also the opportunity to enter AI recommendation chains. Secondly, merchants need to optimize not just web pages and ad materials but also whether product data, inventory, fulfillment, evaluations, pricing, and customer service can be reliably utilized by AI systems.

OpenAI is more like connecting tools, codes, and APIs from a high-frequency AI product outward; Google is embedding AI into existing search, advertising, cloud, and mobile systems. The former feels more like a new workstation, while the latter resembles the intelligent transformation of old infrastructure.

Who has more advantage? In the short term, OpenAI's product narrative is more focused; in the long term, if Google can turn AI into the default layer for search, advertising, and shopping, its commercial conversion capabilities still remain strong.

Inspiration for Crypto and Web3: Entry Points are Scarcer Than Underlying Performance

The relationship between this AI news and Crypto is not about whether Google itself issues cryptocurrency, but it serves as a reminder to the Web3 industry of an old issue: entry points are scarcer than underlying performance.

In the past, Crypto often placed the narrative on TPS, fees, on-chain native applications, and token economies. But what users truly encounter daily are wallets, exchanges, searches, social media, payments, and content entry points. If AI begins to become the default interface for users to discover information, understand risks, compare products, and initiate actions, then the competition among Crypto projects will also be forced to change.

Whether a DeFi protocol will be used in the future may depend not only on TVL and APY but also on whether an AI assistant can understand its risks, explain its sources of income, identify its contract permissions, and incorporate it into users' daily operations. Whether an exchange can retain users might depend not only on transaction fees but on whether it can establish a trusted entry point for AI risk control, customer service, investment research, and pre-trade simulations.
