The price of cryptocurrencies maintained a rollercoaster-like volatility overall last week, with bulls experiencing ups and downs, advancing two steps and retreating one. This week, the focus will be on the U.S. CPI data, non-farm employment data, and the Bank of Japan's interest rate decision, which are expected to lead to significant fluctuations. It is hoped that we can break out of last week's trading range, but it may be a bit difficult. Although there are suspicions of range washing in the short-term market, the willingness to break through from last week may still continue, especially since the bears seem to be lingering, so bulls should remain cautious.
From a technical perspective, the daily chart for Bitcoin shows a recent overall downtrend in price. On the hourly chart, there was a slight rebound in price from 19:00 on December 14 to 00:00 on December 15, but the rebound strength was very weak. The MACD indicator on the hourly chart is in a bearish state, with both DIF and DEA being negative and continuously declining, indicating a weak market in the short term. The daily MACD is also in a death cross state, continuing the bearish trend. The RSI on the hourly chart is at 23.24, close to the oversold range, which may indicate a technical rebound demand; however, the daily RSI remains low, showing a weak trend. The EMA on the hourly chart shows a bearish arrangement with the 7-period moving average below the 30-period and 120-period moving averages, indicating that the current trend is bearish.
