What a coincidence!

Coincidentally, Lao Wu is encouraging many newcomers to go to Shenzhen, while I have been promoting many older individuals to come to Singapore.

Singapore can be said to be the pinnacle of life for Chinese people. Currently, Singapore itself is a multi-ethnic country, and the work visa in Singapore is relatively easy to apply for. Even among developed countries, Singapore's monthly salary is quite good, which attracts many high-skilled talents from around the world.

Therefore, the education in Singapore is excellent. Singaporean students rank in the top tier globally in mathematics and science understanding and application. For many friends who have stable lives and school-age children, the bilingual approach of Chinese and English makes life and learning much simpler. Learning in Singapore is also quite competitive, but the way it is competitive is different from most Asian countries.

The inclusiveness that Lao Wu mentioned can be reflected in all aspects of Singapore. Especially in the cryptocurrency field, there aren't many people, but the level of discussion and openness is quite good. Although new policies have restricted some cryptocurrency practitioners, there are no restrictions on living and trading in Singapore.

If you love life, Singapore may not be the only choice, but it has allowed me to experience the joy of living. When I was in Shanghai, I was very reclusive, mainly because going out was too much trouble. The time cost of meeting friends averaged over two hours. However, in Singapore, because it is small, the time cost of transportation is greatly reduced. We often say we can gather anytime and arrive within half an hour.

In Singapore, I have made more like-minded friends. Unlike in Shanghai, social interactions become more straightforward, and friendships are more sincere. Moreover, there are more health-oriented activities in Singapore, such as walking, playing sports, cycling, and board games, which are healthier. Even I, who am quite lazy, sometimes go out for a walk.

In terms of business, after arriving in Singapore, I gradually came into contact with many new fields. While my horizons have broadened significantly, the scope of revenue has also expanded a lot, starting to involve some more value-added businesses in the cryptocurrency field.

In terms of investment and financial management, Singapore's biggest advantage is the absence of capital gains tax. As a retail investor, whether trading stocks or cryptocurrencies, there are no additional taxes to pay; all profits are yours and completely legal, with no worries.

Moreover, cryptocurrency is a legal business in Singapore. Singapore has its own stablecoin, and USD stablecoin exchanges to SGD are instant, with some platforms even having no fees and better exchange rates than banks. Not to mention Singapore's private banking services.

As for safety, there is no need to elaborate. Singapore's public safety is among the best in the world. Although there are some social issues, it is common to see millionaires walking their dogs in flip-flops. However, to be honest, a million SGD in Singapore cannot really be considered "wealthy." Without a self-owned house, it barely qualifies as upper-middle class. Without a car or house, you would need about three million SGD to reach a comfortable living threshold.

Of course, Singapore has many drawbacks that cannot be ignored. The high cost of living is very obvious; Singapore may be even more expensive than Hong Kong. It can be hard to see a bustling atmosphere in Singapore, giving a somewhat lazy feeling. Problems that can be solved in a coffee shop should ideally not be solved at work.

Although I have no negative feelings about Singapore's small size, many friends do think Singapore is too small. They might feel that after living here for three or four years, they have done everything, visited all the places, and eaten most of the food, leading to a sense of boredom. Additionally, Singapore's geographical location makes it farther from popular destinations in Asia like Japan, South Korea, or even back to China and Europe and the US.

For friends who enjoy driving, the cost of owning a car in Singapore is still quite high. The cost of car ownership in Singapore is among the highest in the world. Delivering food or driving for ride-hailing services is not something you can enjoy just by having a work visa. Finding a job in Singapore is not easy either. In the past two years, I have often heard people in the community mention that the unemployment rate in Singapore has increased, and it is currently at 2%.

Singapore offers very good protection for locals, with the baseline being permanent residency, which allows for basic citizen-like treatment. However, if you are a citizen or a permanent resident, the difficulty of living will significantly increase. Overall, Singapore should not only be the pinnacle of life for Chinese people but also the pinnacle of the Web3 field for Chinese people.
