🧐Brevis: Making Ethereum's "Smart" Truly Smart—

Let's talk about Brevis and its Alpha opportunities that have been trending on X these past few days:

Brevis has been gaining popularity recently: with investment from Binance and a mention from Vitalik Buterin.

Additionally, it has been trending on X because everyone is sharing Brevis @brevis_zk's "The Proving Grounds" event:

Currently, it is in the first phase of tasks: mainly social activities, such as following the official Twitter, joining the community ➕ checking in; if the threshold is not high, I think it’s worth doing, as it is likely related to future airdrops!

While completing tasks, we also researched the project itself and found some impressive aspects, not because of any slogans, but because it is genuinely operational.

As a ZK full-chain data notarization platform that raised $7.5 million in seed funding led by YZi Labs and Polychain, Brevis is one of those types:

Its brilliance lies in the fact that it is already running on-chain and is being actively called by protocols like Pancake, Euler, Linea, and Usual, representing a kind of "ZK infrastructure."

The following interpretations lean towards technical and narrative research, hoping to be helpful to everyone—

1️⃣ The Old Blockchain Question: Smart or Trustworthy?

For the past decade, developers have been trapped in the same paradox:

To achieve performance, decentralization must be sacrificed;

To ensure security, complex functionalities must be abandoned.

Contracts are inherently "forgetful," unable to see history or compute logic; thus, many protocols choose semi-decentralized backends to compensate.

Brevis's approach is very straightforward:

It executes complex calculations off-chain and then brings the verification of "the computation is indeed correct" back on-chain using zero-knowledge proofs (ZK Proof).

In other words, it allows smart contracts to have "memory" and "thinking" for the first time, without needing to trust anyone.

So when @VitalikButerin mentioned Brevis in a post, he expressed anticipation for Brevis's Pico Prism officially entering the ZK-EVM verification field!

I think this is genuinely exciting!

2️⃣ Signals of Real Implementation

PancakeSwap uses it to calculate user historical trading discounts;

Euler relies on it to distribute time-weighted lending rewards;

Usual and Linea use it for trustless distribution across multiple protocols at a scale of hundreds of millions.

These are not dreams on a PPT, but real logic running on-chain.

The proof layer behind it generates over 70 million ZK proofs daily, covering 138,000 users and distributing over $220 million in rewards.

3️⃣ Technological Breakthrough: From Paper to Production:

The core of Brevis is Pico ZKVM and Pico Prism.

The latter achieved the industry's first near-real-time block proof on the Ethereum mainnet:

A 45M gas block, with verification coverage completed within 10 seconds at 96.8%; average proof time of 6–7 seconds;

Costs are only half of competing solutions.

This means:

Ethereum is moving from "all nodes executing repeatedly" to a new consensus model of "single-point computation + network-wide verification." Scalability no longer requires sacrificing decentralization.

4️⃣ My Personal Feelings:

After reviewing this system, I thought of a phrase:

"ZK is not performance optimization, but a reconstruction of trust structures."

Brevis replaces "trusting people" with "verifying mathematics,"

and brings back many complex logics that originally "could only be achieved through centralization" into the decentralized world.

When this infrastructure truly becomes widespread, we may welcome a new phase: not making Web3 more like Web2, but finally allowing it to be itself.

5️⃣ Summary:

Brevis transforms the opposition between "computation" and "trust" into a verifiable unity.

I suggest starting with basic activities:
