When designing products, I often think about whether they solve certain problems currently existing in the market, whether they meet current market demands, whether they can provide higher quality convenience, and whether there are opportunities for profit. In 2023, I began to contemplate the path for RWA, and in 2024, I hope to provide more liquidity to $BTC through #BTCFi.
In 2025, I thought of the concept of on-chain brokerage #DeBroker, which opened my mind. If I were to create an on-chain brokerage, what kind of services would I need to provide? So, I conducted extensive research and found that the demand for stock on-chain is still very low, and the difficulty of converting coins to IPOs is quite high. However, the coin-stock trading pairs are very interesting, especially in terms of arbitrage strategies.
This part is the most challenging. On the other hand, I have already designed two financial tools in the form of funds, both of which performed well during modeling. The two approaches—using TBills + gold + Bitcoin, and generating interest on BTC through U.S. Treasury bonds—can already be applied in real life. The former can give investors an expectation of about 35% returns until 2029, while the latter involves going long on BTC and increasing BTC positions through interest from U.S. Treasury bonds, both of which can address some investors' needs.
As for what can be done in the larger retail market, I believe that coin-stock trading pairs are a very suitable tool, as they combine BTCFi with the liquidity of both on-chain and stocks. However, whether it can be successfully implemented still requires time to verify. Nevertheless, I plan to run a small model first, using my own funds to see how it performs.
