As SOL returns to $240, where will the overflow liquidity go?

After more than 6 months, the SOL price has finally returned above $240 (peaking at nearly $250 yesterday, currently down to $234 at the time of writing) and the reasons for this increase can be summarized in three main points: First, as the camp of treasury reserve companies like SOL Strategies continues to grow, the market demand for SOL has further expanded; second, after experiencing previous price undervaluation, SOL holdings have become more concentrated; third, the brief recovery of Solana ecosystem tokens like PUMP and meme coins has brought new consumption scenarios for SOL.

Odaily Planet Daily previously outlined "ETH-following concept tokens" in the article “ETH Soars Nearly 12% in a Day, Which Altcoins Typically Follow?”. Looking back two months later, several tokens have seen varying degrees of increase, with an estimated win rate of about 60% to 70% (notably LINK from $16.92 to a high of $28.86, WLD from $1.11 to a high of $2.21, and DOGE from $0.21 to a high of $0.3). Based on the same ecological spillover effect, this article shares potential rising targets for readers' reference. Note: The following content does not constitute investment advice; please DYOR.

Solana Ecosystem Infrastructure Tokens: JUP, RAY, KMNO

Although the DeFi sector's development is somewhat lagging compared to the Ethereum ecosystem, there are still many excellent projects in Solana's ecosystem infrastructure. Of course, having excellent products does not necessarily mean that the project tokens perform equally well (e.g., Wormhole-W), but the projects are the foundational support for token price performance.

In this regard, important components of Solana's ecosystem infrastructure—aggregation platform Jupiter (JUP), DEX platform Raydium (RAY), and lending platform Kamino (KMNO)—are the main potential targets for price increases.

The price list (as of September 15) is as follows—

  • KMNO: $0.067;
  • JUP: $0.52;
  • RAY: $3.3.

Solana Meme Representative Coins: PUMP, PENGU, BONK, TRUMP

As the blockchain ecosystem that first ignited the meme coin craze, Solana's network undoubtedly leads in the number of phenomenal meme coins. However, as the industry progresses into the second half of 2025, there are not many representative meme coins still active, so we have selected three relatively representative targets:

Pump.fun (PUMP), which has welcomed a second spring for the project due to its "live coin issuance" model;

Pudgy Penguins (PENGU), which focuses on "IP + physical + ecological construction";

BONK (BONK), which emphasizes "community meme coin + coin issuance platform."

Additionally, considering the key role of U.S. President Trump in the Federal Reserve's interest rate cuts, TRUMP may have some short-term speculative value for a certain period.

The price list (as of September 15) is as follows—

  • PUMP: $0.0076;
  • PENGU: $0.033;
  • BONK: $0.000022;
  • TRUMP: $8.57.

Solana Ecosystem Emerging Sector Tokens: HUMA, STONKS

Thanks to Solana's low-cost operating environment, it has always been a testing ground for emerging sectors. In the areas of PayFi and U.S. stock tokenization, Solana ecosystem projects Huma Finance and MyStonks both have certain long-term bullish value.

The price list (as of September 15) is as follows—

  • HUMA: $0.0255;
  • STONKS: $0.026.

Solana Ecosystem DePIN Sector Tokens: CUDIS, ROAM

DePIN is also one of the continuously developing sectors in the Solana ecosystem. Although limited by factors such as industry narrative acceptance and market dissemination influence, related projects have not yet experienced large-scale explosions, they still possess certain short- to medium-term speculative value. Therefore, we have selected two relatively representative projects—smart sports equipment project Cudis (CUDIS) and virtual roaming communication card project Roam (ROAM).

The price list (as of September 15) is as follows—

  • CUDIS: $0.13;
  • ROAM: $0.11.

Conclusion: Solana Ecosystem Has Yet to Find a Main Line

Aside from the tokens mentioned above, Solana ecosystem DeFi project Saros (SAROS - $0.4), infrastructure project Pyth Network (PYTH - $0.16), and prediction market-related project Polyfacts (POLYFACTS - $0.0063) are all worth monitoring for their subsequent trends in the short to medium term. However, looking at the overall ecosystem, the Solana network has yet to find a main line for its DeFi ecosystem similar to that of Ethereum.

Considering news such as the Solana ecosystem's stablecoin issuance surpassing $13.3 billion, a historical high, it seems that SOL's token new highs may still require significant buying from Solana treasury-listed companies and major positive news such as Solana spot ETFs, rather than mutual achievements with ecological projects.
