- OpenSea announces that token airdrops will be assessed based on user profiles, with the top historical transaction volume user having a negative attitude towards airdrops
On July 30, OpenSea team member Adam Hollander responded in the Discord community to the question of "how historical usage affects token airdrops," stating that OpenSea will consider user "profiles." "For example, some people came here during the bull market and never returned. Others only appeared recently to 'farm.' Ethereum L2 network Linea announced its token LINEA's tokenomics on July 29. LINEA is not a gas token; transactions on Linea use ETH to pay fees, and both ETH and LINEA are subject to dual burn through the L2 fee mechanism.
The total token supply is 72 billion, with 85% allocated to the ecosystem and 15% to the Consensys treasury, which has a five-year lock-up period and no reserved shares for investors or employees. The core use of the token is to reward real usage, incentivize builders, and support Ethereum public goods. Approximately 15.8 billion tokens (about 22%) will be in circulation at TGE, covering early user airdrops, ecosystem incentives, and liquidity guidance. Early contributors (10%): of which 9% is for user airdrops, and 1% is for key ecosystem projects, both unlocking at TGE; Consensys treasury (15%): locked for five years, for future ecosystem deployment and protocol health support.
