Original Title: "Zama, the Privacy Black Technology Backed by $130 Million in Financing, is a Must-See Airdrop!"

Original Authors: SoonCrush, Biteye

Privacy and transparency are old topics in the blockchain space. The biggest advantage of blockchain is transparency; transaction data is visible to everyone, public and immutable. However, problems arise: some information really shouldn't be visible to everyone!

Whether it's transaction records, interaction records, arbitrage records, or even wallet balances, there are always some "too private" things that become too exposed when placed on-chain, and not everyone is willing to make them public.

In this case, if we want decentralization while also protecting privacy, we must mention the interactive project Zama that we are introducing today.

1. Project Introduction

Zama is an open-source cryptography company based in Paris. They are working on a black technology called FHE (Fully Homomorphic Encryption), which allows encrypted data to participate directly in smart contract computations, without the need to decrypt at any point, maximizing privacy!

This means that even if you are working on DeFi, AI, or healthcare applications, you can encrypt and run simultaneously, truly achieving "what should be public is public, and what should be confidential is confidential."

Currently, Zama has completed a Series B financing round of $57 million, with total financing reaching $130 million, and a valuation exceeding $1 billion. The investor lineup includes Web3 heavyweights like Pantera, Multicoin, and Blockchange.

Since Zama's testnet is already live, and the roadmap clearly states that the mainnet will launch by the end of 2025 along with the issuance of the $ZAMA token, this is a clear airdrop project that is very worthwhile to participate in.

Ordinary users can currently participate in Guild tasks, which mainly focus on community engagement and basic learning, and are relatively simple. Below are the detailed operation steps.

2. Interaction Steps

Guild Address: https://guild.xyz/zama/

There are four main categories of Guild tasks, and generally, completing the first two tasks is sufficient. The "Developer Program" and "Bounty Program" may be somewhat challenging if you are not a developer.

1. Beta Tester

First, we need to complete the Beta Tester task on the homepage, which is the foundation for other tasks.

Users need to link their wallets and verify their addresses, then complete three out of four social tasks.

It is recommended to skip the first Farcaster task, as registration costs $5 and connecting to Guild costs $1, which is not very cost-effective. Just complete the other three tasks.

For the final asset verification, it requires having 0.1 ETH or 250 USDC on the Ethereum mainnet, along with 3 interaction records.

The assets here cannot be transferred out; even after completing the tasks, checks will continue. If any conditions are not met, the task status will change to incomplete.

Therefore, it is not feasible to use multiple accounts for this project, or the cost of doing so is relatively high; you can only use a quality account.

2. First Time Using Zama and FHE? Click Here to Start

This page has four learning tasks, three testing tasks, and finally, you need to share an article on Twitter to complete it. Each task is interconnected; if the previous task is not completed, you cannot continue to the next.

Specific tasks include:

  • Understanding the basics of FHE encryption
  • Introduction to FHE by Zama's Chief Technology Officer Pascal Paillier
  • Introduction to FHE by a software engineer
  • Introduction to FHE by Zama's CEO
  • Sharing Zama's latest updates on X

3. Creator Program

The Zama Creator Program aims to reward creators who produce high-quality content about Zama and Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE). The top 100 creators each month will receive rewards based on their total points.

This task can be completed by non-developers as well, but it requires a bit more time. However, before starting the creator tasks, you must complete the previous tasks; otherwise, you will not be able to unlock them.

Users can create content from the following 5 categories:

Event Timeline:

  • Starts on the 1st of each month at 00:00 (UTC)
  • Ends on the last day of each month at 23:59 (UTC)
  • 1st to 7th of the next month: Review works, calculate points, and update the leaderboard
  • Within 14 days after the leaderboard is published: Distribute rewards & grant the "Zama Creator" role

Regarding the scoring of creative content, the official team will evaluate it based on the following weights, introducing a quality multiplier (x1~x5). The larger the multiplier, the more points are added.

x1: Meets minimum requirements

x2: Good content quality, with some interaction

x3: High quality, with positive community response

x4: Excellent, promotes discussion

x5: Viral, creates a huge impact

Evaluation criteria include content quality, technical accuracy, creativity, community impact, and interaction data. Infofi players should not miss this!

4. Developer Program (Optional)

The Zama Developer Program is a tiered task system aimed at blockchain developers, designed to guide developers in gradually mastering FHE (Fully Homomorphic Encryption) and FHEVM (Zama's encrypted smart contract platform). Since it is aimed at developers, this task is optional and has a higher difficulty level.

The entire program is divided into four levels, starting from the first level "Explorer," where developers are required to link their GitHub accounts and follow Zama's open-source projects;

Upon reaching the second level "Learner," they need to systematically read the protocol documentation, quick start guide, and condensed white paper;

At the third level "Builder," developers must write and deploy their first FHEVM smart contract to the testnet;

Finally, in the fourth level task, participants must submit a complete end-to-end dApp project demonstrating the practical application of FHE.

If you are a developer but do not meet the prerequisites for participating in this task, you can directly contact @Zama Mod in the #chat channel on Discord for manual verification, allowing you to participate in the developer tasks without completing the previous tasks.

5. Bounty Program (Not Yet Started)

This task is also aimed at developers, requiring them to contribute to FHE Space and Zama's open-source libraries and receive rewards, such as improving code, finding bugs, and similar tasks.

Currently, no further details have been announced; what can be done is to star and bookmark Zama's code repository, which requires users to have a GitHub account.
