I woke up this morning to see Trump ranting about Powell again.

“It’s too late,” Powell complained about cost issues, most of which are caused by Biden’s “fake government.” But the best and most beneficial thing he could do for the country is to lower interest rates. If he brings rates down to where they should be, 1% to 2%, this “idiot” could save America up to a trillion dollars a year.

I understand that my strong criticism makes it harder for him to make the decision he needs to make (to cut rates), but I’ve tried everything: I’ve been nice to him, neutral, and even angry, but nothing works. He’s just an idiot, clearly hates Trump, and shouldn’t be in that position at all.

I listened to the wrong people when I appointed him, and Biden shouldn’t have reappointed him. We have almost no inflation now, the economy is performing very well, and with the increase in tariff revenue and factories being built all over the country, the economy will be even better, better than ever before.

If he really cared about inflation or other issues, he just needs to cut rates now so we can reduce interest costs; if inflation really appears in the future, he can raise rates then (although I doubt that will happen).

Don’t tell me you think there might be inflation in the future, so you won’t cut rates. If there is in the future, raise rates then; if there isn’t now, cut rates quickly! We should be at the forefront of interest rate decisions, not at the end. I don’t understand why the Federal Reserve Board continues to support this “complete fool”!

Maybe I really should reconsider whether to fire him! But in any case, his term is almost over!
