🧐 What Filecoin couldn't achieve, CESS @CESS_Storage completed in 6 years: A new generation narrative of data networks is launching——
In the past few years, many people thought "data on-chain" = "decentralized hard drive."
But the truth is that storing data ≠ being able to use it, and Filecoin has this regret;
Recently, I spent some time reviewing CESS's roadmap and underlying mechanisms, and to be honest, it was much more complete than I expected.
1) Dynamic CDN (CD²N) + sub-50ms latency, allowing data to be called like centralized systems;
2) The combination of PoDR² + PReT + TEE solves the issues of privacy data availability + AI computation compliance;
3) Applications in healthcare, finance, and AI training have already begun to take shape;
Data speaks volumes: The DeShare event attracted 860,000 real users in 45 days, effectively withstanding stress tests.
On a deeper level, CESS is doing some heavier work: leading the formulation of the IEEE P3220.02 international standard for decentralized storage; participating in the establishment and review of Hong Kong's DePIN standards; entering the U.S. BMM market with technology and data services, opening a window for overseas expansion; and proposing a roadmap for RWA compliance (pilot programs in universities and enterprises, blockchain migration).
These actions collectively point to a greater ambition:
CESS is not a supplement to any particular chain, but is becoming one of the underlying standards in the era of data assetization.
Filecoin proved that storage can be decentralized, while CESS is addressing how data can be called in real-time and used securely; Filecoin initiated the storage narrative, and CESS fills the gap in data availability;
The token will be launched in Q2, perhaps marking the starting point for the monetization of a "value network."
This is not a benchmark; it is the evolution of the next stage.
