On April 29th, the Solana ecosystem LST staking protocol Sanctum officially announced the launch of the user loyalty program Sanctum Wonderland, where users can collect pets and complete community tasks using LST tokens to earn experience points and upgrade their pets.

Previously, Sanctum had won first place in the second phase voting project on the Jupiter LFG Launchpad and will be launched in May and June. Although it was not explicitly stated, the Wonderland program is considered an important part of the subsequent token issuance related to Sanctum.

Sanctum Project Overview

The LST liquidity aggregation protocol Sanctum is one of the recent hot projects in the Solana ecosystem. Since February 2021, the team has been committed to building liquidity staking on Solana, helping Solana Labs establish the SPL Equity Pool Plan and launching the first SPL Equity Pool, Socean.

Sanctum's goal is to build the SOL liquidity staking ecosystem and unleash the key growth drivers for Solana DeFi and the entire Solana. In the voting introduction in February 2024, the Sanctum team mentioned that at that time, 33% of SOL tokens were not staked, and of the staked SOL tokens, over 95% of the staked assets were non-liquid staking. Therefore, Sanctum is committed to changing this situation.

By establishing a unified liquidity layer, planning to launch a thousand LST token pools, and distributing token ownership through LFG, Sanctum will leverage the advantages of LST (semi) fungibility (i.e., they are not truly different assets, they are just wrappers for the same equity account), and thus build a non-PVP liquidity staking environment (even better than Ethereum).

Sanctum Wonderland Program Overview

Wonderland is the latest user loyalty program launched by Sanctum, providing users with some gaming fun while allowing users to fully utilize their SOL token assets. Its main gameplay is to collect pets and earn experience points to upgrade them. In addition, users can also work together to complete community tasks and earn more experience point rewards.

Users only need to collect the corresponding pets by holding at least 0.1 SOL worth of Sanctum Liquid Staking tokens (LST). By holding LST in the wallet, the corresponding pets can earn experience points. Each pet owned for every 1 SOL worth of LST tokens can earn 10 experience points (EXP) per minute, which is the basic rate of earning experience.

According to the official pet information provided, there are a total of 18 pets corresponding to different LST tokens, including Infinitie, Bonksie, and Clockie. Users can participate in this activity in just 3 steps:

1. Log in to the official Sanctum activity interface and connect the Solana wallet;
2. After successful connection, enter the "Sanctum Wonderland Introduction" interface and register for Wonderland according to the steps on the screen;
3. Enter the referral code (such as 2P1YWT) to enter_** (Note: You can enter without using the referral code, but the referral code can only be used for the first login. If not used, the corresponding reward will not be received in the future).**

It is worth mentioning that each address corresponds to only one referral code, and the inviter will receive 5% of the invitee's experience points in the form of referral experience points. For every 20,000 referral experience points earned, a referral cake can be obtained, and subsequent users who enter using the referral code will have the opportunity to win additional experience points at the end of the first season.

In addition, completing regular community tasks and community puzzles will also earn experience point bonuses. Therefore, it is recommended to buy all 18 pets and focus on investing in key communities.

Specific Gameplay of Sanctum Wonderland Pets

The following is the specific operation process for participating in Sanctum Wonderland Pets:

1. Log in to the official websiteand connect your wallet, enter the referral code 2P1YWT, or directly click the invitation link.

2. Enter the guide interface and click "Continue".

3. Click on the pet list under "Sanctum Pets" and select a community pet.

4. Using Infinitie as an example, purchase INF LST tokens by clicking "Buy INF".

It is worth noting that the experience points for the Infinitie pet are not only obtained from INF LST tokens, but can also be obtained from the following staking platform liquidity pools, with an experience point acquisition rate of 10 EXP/minute:

• Armada INF-USDC CLMM vault
• Kamino Altcoin Markets INF deposits
• Marginfi isolated market INF deposits
• Meteora INF-SOL DLMM pool
• Solend ISC permissionless pool

5. After completing the purchase of INF tokens, it is recommended to purchase at least 0.12 SOL to avoid the INF balance falling below 0.1 SOL due to fluctuations in the SOL:INF exchange rate.

6. Other Notes:

• There is no limit to the types of pets a user can have, but each type of pet can only have 1. In other words, a maximum of 18 types of pets can be owned.
• When a user transfers LST tokens (including 18 types of tokens such as INF, bonkSOL, clockSOL, etc.) from wallet A to wallet B, the previously obtained statistics (experience, pets, level, etc.) will continue to be retained in wallet A. However, as some LST is moved out of wallet A, the proportion of EXP experience points earned by wallet A will correspondingly decrease. Wallet B will be considered as a separate account, but the statistics related to wallet B will start from 0.
• Experience points are calculated every 5 minutes.
• The maximum level for pets is Lv.999, and once they reach the evolution level, they will evolve automatically without the need for further action from the user.
• Each pet can evolve up to 3 times.
• Users need to hold at least 0.1 SOL worth of LST for pets to grow and earn experience points. Once the LST balance in the wallet falls below 0.1 SOL, the pet will enter hibernation and stop earning experience points.
• In addition, community puzzles are also an essential part of the activity. Users should participate as much as possible. For example, in the first round of community puzzles, users need to understand Infinitie and obtain more experience points to upgrade the pet, which can be achieved by exchanging INF through Sanctum's official Infinity to give Infinitie more experience.

Summary: Making Loyalty Programs Less Tedious with a Points System

In the past, many projects' loyalty programs used a simple and straightforward points system to stimulate user participation and asset deposits through score increases and changing interfaces. However, when such programs become highly homogeneous, it is easy to cause aesthetic fatigue and a significant decrease in participation.

Sanctum, as a Solana ecosystem liquidity staking aggregation protocol, has introduced its own loyalty program, the Wonderland program, in a "micro-innovative" way: on one hand, it is a pet-raising game where users can choose different types of pets they like to participate; on the other hand, different pets represent different communities, and the 18 types of pets can attract many community users to participate and spontaneously promote the activity, attracting more attention to the program.

According to the official introduction from Sanctum, this is just the beginning of the first season of activities, and more will be launched in the future.
