"What is the value of MEME?"
"People come for money, and stay for ideals." - V God.
At night in SPACE, some listeners expressed doubts about the value of MEME coins. They thought that only DEFI and similar projects have value.
I asked two questions: Why does DEFI have value? What problems does it solve? The answer could be solving some financial scenarios in the coin circle, etc.
So the logic is very clear: value is about solving a certain problem, and the bigger the problem solved, the more valuable the target becomes.
What is the biggest problem in the coin circle? How to solve it?
The biggest problem in the coin circle is not how to stake ETH, not how to implement L2 for BTC, not how to play DEFI, not adding economic models to games. The biggest problem in the coin circle has not changed since Satoshi Nakamoto released the Bitcoin white paper and called it "a social experiment" 15 years ago!
This biggest problem has always been the same, which is: how to make more people aware of Bitcoin and accept Bitcoin!
This is the fundamental problem that is related to the life and death, rise and fall, and honor and disgrace of the coin circle. There is no problem more important than this.
So, how to solve this problem? Staking, L2, and blockchain games are all good, and they are needed, but they are weak in solving the most important and fundamental problem. If you look at these so-called valuable applications, you will see how many users are actually using them - when I see that the top perpetual contract platforms have only a few hundred daily active users, and that the DAO voting of the top DEX has very few participants throughout the year, I will think more seriously about one question: Who can solve the problem of making the consensus of Bitcoin known and accepted by more people?
In the last bull market, what was the coin that brought the most new users? Think about it for 10 seconds.
The answer is $DOGE and $SHIB, explosive growth in the number of holders, explosive price increases, and an explosion of new people. What is the significance of these people rushing into the coin circle? Is it valuable?
V God once said: "People come for money, and stay for ideals."
This is the value of MEME.
Why is it MEME and not something else? Why do people always like to trade MEME?
This is related to the characteristics of the coin circle. The coin circle may have more speculators than the stock market. Over 95% of people come to the coin circle mainly to make money. They will only come if there is a wealth effect - if it's not for making money or the potential to make money, you can't convince them to come.
If you tell your good friend about the great ideals of blockchain and the realization of DEFI, he won't be interested, it's too complicated and too difficult to understand. But if you tell him, "Buy Dogecoin, Elon Musk is promoting it, you can make money by buying it!" Will he come?
MEME is like air, its only meaning of existence is to tell buyers: "Buy me, you can make money, I can rise."
It's too simple and easy to understand - from a marketing perspective, if something can't be explained in one sentence, then it must not have been explained correctly.
The underlying logic is:
The coin circle is mainly for speculators, and the main purpose is to make money;
The main value of MEME coins is "buy me and you can get rich";
So from the last round to this round, MEME coins have always been the most welcomed.
Look at the trading volume on various exchanges. When coins like PEPE have a 24-hour trading volume of $20 billion, and then look at the value coins in your hand with a 24-hour volume of $5 million, if you still believe that MEME has no value.
Either the market is wrong, or you haven't understood the market - but existence is reasonable, and the financial market has always been like this for hundreds of years.
Don't look down on MEME coins, they represent ideals and the future.
