Celestia's airdrop of large bowl of pig's feet rice has attracted attention to the modularization trend. It is the first but certainly not the last modularized project to issue coins. What opportunities in this field can we focus on in the future? In this issue, Biteye brings you six potential modularization projects and interactive suggestions;
Fuel
Altlayer
Polygon Avail
Caldera
Eclipse
Other suggestions
Fuel
@fuel_networkaims to establish a modular execution layer, improve security by using fraud-proof mechanisms and UTXO for parallel transactions, and lightweight clients. Fuel's co-founder is also one of Celestia's co-founders, and it raised $80M in funding in September last year.
Interaction:
1. Install the native Fuel wallet and select project interaction on its ecosystem website: https://alpha.fuel.network/ecosystem
2. Testnet cross-chain bridge interaction: https://alpha.fuel.network/bridge/?from=eth&to=fuel
Altlayer
@alt_layeris a Rollup-as-a-Service protocol that allows developers to quickly customize Rollups with fraud/ZK proofs. It is expected to launch its mainnet in 2024. Polychain led a $7.2M funding round, and it was selected for the 6th season of the Binance MVB incubation program.
Interaction:
1. Complete the official Galaxy mission release: https://galxe.com/unsupportedregion
2. Create a Flash layer in Altlayer's Dashboard: https://dashboard.alt.technology/login
Dymension
@dymensionis Cosmos' modular settlement layer, designed to allow developers to quickly deploy specific application Rollups through RDK and dedicated settlement layers. It raised $6.7M in funding last June, and the founder stated that a second round of funding is expected.
Interaction:
1. Participate in the official DC airdrop
2. Exchange tokens between various Rollups through the official website: https://portal.dymension.xyz/ibc
3. Install Go to configure related hardware for running nodes. Details can be found in the documentation: https://docs.dymension.xyz/validate/dymension-hub/overview/
Polygon Avail
@AvailProjectis a provider focused on the data availability layer in modular blockchains, allowing Rollups to publish data to Avail for storage and select other networks for settlement. One of the co-founders of Polygon left Polygon to lead this project, which is currently unfunded.
Interaction:
Avail is currently hosting a Validator Spotlight event, where users can fill out a form to join as validators for the testnet: https://twitter.com/AvailProject/status/1715008696835600451
Caldera
@Calderaxyzis a Raas service that innovatively decouples data availability from the settlement layer. Customized Rollups can send transaction content to Ethereum or specialized DA layers, such as Celestia, to optimize transaction costs. Caldera raised $9M, with Drangonfly, Sequoia leading, and participation from 1kx and other institutions.
Interaction:
1. Perform cross-chain interaction on its testnet: https://testnet.caldera.dev
2. Interact with networks built on this project, such as Manta, Pacific, Injective, etc.
Eclipse
@EclipseFNDis a modular settlement layer, similar to Caldera. It can create custom execution chains by selecting the desired consensus and DA layers, providing customizable features for specific use cases. Eclipse supports EVM and SVM (supporting SolanaVM is considered an advantage of Eclipse) in the execution environment, and plans to support more virtual machines in the future. It already supports Celestia at the DA layer and may support protocols such as Eigen DA and Avail in the future. Eclipse has completed two rounds of funding, with a total funding of $15M, with participation from Polygon Ventures and Polychain.
Interaction:
1. Eclipse's mainnet is already live, so it's worth paying attention to projects it collaborates with and interacting with these projects to gain some weight.
Projects can be referenced at: https://eclipse.builders/partners
Celestia is currently the DA layer supported by Eclipse, and you can continue to follow Celestia's interactions, such as staking $TIA and running a Celestia light node. Details can be found at: https://www.eclipse.builders/partnersOther Suggestions
Last but not least, in addition to directly participating in project interactions, the following methods can also help ordinary users to receive airdrops:
• Staking atom or osmos, with a minimum of $75 staked to receive 50 low-income airdrops. After the $TIA airdrop, partial staking is also possible.
• EVM chain interaction - for some major projects, even if they are not part of the EVM ecosystem, they will also provide rewards to EVM participants. Many addresses that received Arb and Op airdrops will also receive $TIA this time. The key is mainnet tx + layer 2 tx + certain balance + anti-whale measures. Click here for details
